Some days there’s so much bad news you just need to walk around town with your Pooh.
We have been in this pandemic for over a year and while there is an end in sight it’s not next week or even next month. But it’s coming.
I for one am so glad I have my dog to be with me and help me through the craziness that keeps happening. I’d like to think my dog doesn’t need a stuff animal as we walk around town because he has me, his favorite person. And he has the spring smells, greeting people who are finally coming outdoors, and running and playing.
Some of us are like Coconut, our world is pretty darned good despite the pandemic. Each day ends on a good note for him.
But some of us are like the dog who needs Pooh. Maybe your Pooh is a hobby, or exercising, or staying away from people, or reading. We all need to figure out what is going to get us through this pandemic and beyond. Even when the masks come off and we can hug it will still feel different for a long time.
For most of us on of our “Pooh” is our dog or another pet. The bond between owner and pet is like no other—they’re our companions, always along for the ride no matter what ups and downs life brings. They show us joy and make us laugh, and even listen to us like they know exactly what we’re saying.
If you haven’t hugged and kissed your dog and told them thank you for being with you during this pandemic then why not do it today. Our world is an inordinately better place because of dogs. Don’t you think? Even, or especially those, who need a Pooh doll to make it around town.
